Legendary since its creation. The creator of this priceless spring is said to be the mythological creature Pegasus. According to the legend, the Roitschocrene spring was created by Pegasus, a winged horse in Greek mythology. Legend has it that Pegasus, instructed by Apollo, struck the ground in Rogaška Slatina with its hoof and opened the Roitschocrene spring.
